About Mary
Personal
Mary grew up in Quebec City, Canada and moved to Calgary, Canada after high school where she continued her education. She has two brothers, one older, one younger and the youngest is also an accountant.

Mary moved to Hobe Sound in 1997 where she lived for six years. After that Mary moved to Tequesta and has been happy there ever since. Mary enjoys reading, rollerblading, photography, scrapbooking, needlepoint, sewing, and exercising regularly. One of her favorite things to do is to volunteer at The Pine School as Treasurer for the Parent’s Association and as Chairperson for several committees. Mary converted to Judaism a couple of years ago and is very involved with Temple Beth Am.
Education
Mary has her Bachelors in Accounting and has investment licenses Series 7, 31, 66 and Insurance. Mary is a Certified Management Accountant, has her Intuit QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification and is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst.

Experience
Mary has 18 years of experience in accounting which includes business startup, cleanup, windup and everything in between. Mary is knowledgeable in all aspects of accounting and loves to help small businesses understand accounting and helping them with their books.

Mary has created accounting solutions for small and large companies with high transaction volume and an emphasis on accuracy, in a variety of financial markets. She has managed all aspects of financial systems and analysis for small and Fortune 500 companies both domestically and internationally. She has a history of ensuring timely, proper and accurate preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, forecasts and budgets for measuring financial performance and success.

From 2004 to 2008, Mary was a financial advisor for Wachovia Securities and Morgan Stanley. She directed the management of clients' investments and was heavily involved in networking and prospecting for new clients. She also implemented client ongoing service and review with clients on their investment performance. Here is where she completed her (CDFA) designation.

From 2001 to 2004, Mary was an accounting manager and contracts administrator with Continental Shelf Associates Inc., a marine environmental company. Mary managed a budget of $20M and staff of 35. Here is where Mary recruited to relocate and oversee budgets and the business portion of proposals for both governmental and non-governmental bids. She also tracked the ongoing progress of project against budget. She negotiated and managed health, general and professional liability insurance.

Between 1991 and 2001 Mary held several positions that were instrumental in bringing her to where she is today. Mary designed Excell workbooks for both government and non-government proposals. She was a non-profit accounting consultant providing accounting management solutions to local non profits. In addition to this, she was an independent financial consultant for M&E Accounting Solutions, Shell Oil and Novergas, Inc.
